Ah Boys To Men Part 2 Is coming!

The long-waited movie that i've been waiting for is finally coming out! Ah Boys To Men PART 2! I heard this news a few days ago on Facebook and i got excited about it immediately. The first movie was awesome but it was only an introduction to the backgrounds of the recruits and how they met each other, but now is the real deal!

Ah Boys to Men part 2 will show the recruits' Basic Military training life all the way to their graduation parade, so the main events will be shown in this part. Looking back at the story in part 1, Ken is now determined to do well in the army and not to make excuses to get out of training. So with him as a changed person, will it change the section as well?

Here's a review that i did on the first Ah Boys To Men: http://hansyhp.blogspot.sg/2012/11/ah-boys-to-men-movie-review.html

X 元素 Beyond

A new show has been showing on Channel 8 called " Beyond " or " X 元素 ". It is sort of a Fictional Drama whereby they combine fictional fantasy with drama. I do not why i'm writing about this actually, I just feel like writing about it. I know this is a Chinese show, but i'm writing it in English, just so that everyone can understand.

Anyway, this show is about things that is happening far from reality. They are not explained scientifically or logically, but are they real? Do they exist? We don't really know the answer. I guess some things are more than meets the eye.

Have you ever wondered whether there is really a parallel universe whereby there is another you in another dimension? Is there really a secret to immortality? Have you ever wished that you could live in a world of your dreams? What happens to the soul of a comatose person? Where does it go to?

Anyway, back to the story. The story is basically about this girl named Zhi Qing who have the superpower to see the inner world of others. ( Awesome :D ) At a certain age, she started seeing the inner world of others, because of this, she started freaking out and was labelled as a crazy person. She was treated by a psychologist named Wen Bin who found out about her powers and the only way to stop her from seeing people's inner worlds is to wear a pair of glasses. Wen Bin fell for her soon after.
Her neighbour, Jiang Wei, is a Private Investigator who has been finding his lost fiancé for a few years. He still hasn't lose hope.
Basically, Zhi Qing then became his assistant and they, along with Wen Bin and Jiang Wei's buddy, Han xiang, who is a police, started finding out strange unrealistic things going on.
The first thing they found was that there actually is an empty dimension in the 13 and a half floor whereby people will be able to live in the world of their own, never having to face reality. People there though, do not know that they are trapped unless they are woken up by someone. They then go on and find more unexpected things.

I like this show and I always find myself very engaged in finding out what is going to happen next. Another reason is because, well, I myself has also been curious about things that we do not know.

Here are all the trailers of the show before it was shown. Apparently, I could not find the English trailer for the 2nd to the 4th....

2012 Highlights

In just a blink of an eye, we're in the year 2013! I can't believe 2012 is gone just like that, but hey, that's what we always say every year.

2012 has been a rather interesting year, it has been filled with lots of exciting experiences and I must say that I am pretty excited about what 2013 has in store for me.

A lot of things happened in 2012, Gangnam style came out and suddenly became one of the most popular songs of all time. It makes an appearance everywhere, commercials, ads, the stores in shopping malls, etc. There were also things like the Alex Ong incident ( Singaporeans should know ) whereby he pushed an old lady off the bus and it became a debate in the social medias and all. And also the reserve seat incident whereby a young lady who gave her seat to an old lady got scolded and in this generation, you better watch what you are doing in public because someone can just take a video or picture of you and you can become famous overnight. Not to forget the Ah Boys To Men movie that came out in November. I reviewed this in my earlier post. Man, that movie kick ass!

There were also sad things that happened such as the sandy hurricane in New Yolk where many innocent lifes were lost. Those who were affected by it, don't lose hope, you survived the disaster, now's a new year, a new light. There were also the shooting in an elementary school in the US sometime before Christmas. I cannot believe how devastating it is to lose someone you love before Christmas.

Not to forget, in 2013, we can transfer the movie 2012 to the comedy section! I watched that movie when I was 12 with my dad. At that time, I did not really believe in it but after watching some documentaries I kind of believe it but not a 100 percent. But look at us now, nothing happened, no one died, we survived 21st of December 2012.

Well that's all the events i can recall, so happy new year, use every year to learn and experience new things, learn from your past mistakes and make yourself a better person :)
