Have you ever met someone and after getting to know the person more, you start to feel as if you have a strange deep connection with the person? It's like there's a certain mystical attachment between you two. You can understand each other, talk endlessly without feeling awkward and stuff, and just enjoy each other's company.
Well, that's a sign that there's chemistry between you and that person. I'm not gonna be talking about Chemistry with all the chemicals, atoms, etc. , but psychological or human-to-human chemistry.
Everyone has met lots of people in their lives, and I'm guessing that the people we have been meeting are classified into various different groups. There are people that we are really cool with, people that we feel neutral with, and people whom we just wanna punch in the face.
Why does this happen? Well it's due to the diverse personalities of people in this world. For example, a person who is emotional and easily agitated will get along with sensitive but not insensitive people.
Chemistry between certain individuals can't be changed. If there is chemistry, there will be. If there is not, then there will never be. For example, no matter how much person A tries to get along with person B, the chemistry between the two will never be the same as person A with C, which A has a great connection with.
I'm not saying that we should judge and label the people in our lives, I'm just saying that the amount of chemistry vary between different individuals. Don't make enemies either, if you can't really get along with someone, then you guys can just be acquaintances.

ASSHOLE TEACHER
I remember this one incident in Primary 5 that I can still remember till this day.
So it was during a maths lesson and we were supposed to get back our maths test paper. The teacher called out names and had us to take our papers one by one.
After a few names were called, she finally called my name. I wasn't really expecting much from a maths test because naturally I wasn't really good at maths since young. My brain isn't programmed to do maths efficiently.
I took my test paper and guess what? I scored 39.5/50. It may not seem like much to all you maths geniuses, but to me, it's a miracle. My hard work has paid off! :D It was the first time that I got that kind of grade. Usually my grade for maths would be around average, yeah it's pathetic.
I was filled with joy, my eyes were shining in delight once the light bounced off the paper and into my eyes. I couldn't contain the happiness that was in me. I clenched my fist, grabbed the air, pulled it down with maximum force
And I shouted...
" "
Still, it wasn't enough to express how happy I was. I jumped and skipped to my seat and before I could sit, my teacher said in a strict tone, " Hans. Come here. "
I was confused as to what she called me for and when I got to her table, she said, " I will minus 10 marks from your test. " And yes, she did.
As a student, I couldn't do anything. All I did was go back to my seat, with both a displeased and bewildered look. I was thinking, " Did I do anything wrong? I was just rejoicing my victory. It's a personal thing. What's her problem?! "
And so for the entire lesson I turned off and did not bother listening to her. As I was sitting on my seat, she was giving me this condescending and sadistic look. WTF ? -__-
I swear If I had a chance and the authority I would have punched that face.
I was just being proud of myself and was just celebrating with kinda like a victory dance. I worked hard for that grade man. Asshole.
I don't really have a grudge on her because this happened a long time ago, and I don't bear grudges. But I will still remember this incident, because that's 10 marks that I will never get back, forever....

Chinese Should learn CL? ( Bilingualism )
I often hear many teachers, parents and people from the older generations say, " You are a Chinese, how can you not know how to speak CL properly? That's really embarrassing. It is your roots, blah blah blah... "
In case some of you do not know what CL is, it stands for Chinese Language.
I study in a Secondary school in Singapore and like any other students, I have to study two languages, English and my Mother Tongue, which is Chinese.
And many teenagers in this generation are very westernised and therefore are not really well-versed in our Chinese. I'm not saying all of us but a good number of us would prefer English to Chinese.
Teachers have been telling us the importance of learning and mastering our Mother Tongue and to be able to speak Chinese, LIKE A CHINESE.
Personally for me, the reason why I do not ditch Chinese is because I feel that it is always good to be bilingual ( Or better still, multilingual ) and able to speak in more than a language.
Because being bilingual is like a skill. If you know how to communicate with different types of people and speak more than a language, you have an advantage over people who only speak a language, be it at work, when travelling, making friends, etc.
It will also help you to appreciate different cultures because trust me, every language has its own poetic beauty.
I think that the thinking of " Chinese should speak Chinese ", is outdated and old-fashioned. There are many different types of Chinese in this world right now. There are American-Chinese, Indonesian-Chinese, etc. And they all have been influenced by different cultures and so naturally they are gonna integrate.
Overall, must Chinese learn CL? Well, my answer is that, the more languages you master, the better. However, English is still the main language that I use because, I don't know, I just feel more comfortable with it. Moreover most of my subjects are in English so...
Here's a video that I'm sure most of you can relate to. HAHA.
PS I'm NOT this guy.

" Wa, u eat so fast ah? "
" Wa, u eat so fast ah? "
That was the question that I used to receive couple years back.
I was a fast eater, most of the time I would finish my food before anyone else does. I would just chew my food a little bit, swallow it and then take in more food. The reason for this habit of mine was probably because of my childhood. I used to eat a lot back then and well, I loved to eat.
So there was this one time during my sec 2 adventure camp, it was lunch time and every group had to take their turn to be served. So my group members and I put our food on the table at the exact same time.
Within 5 mins or so, I have finished my food while most of my friends were still eating. And so one of my friends actually said, " Wa Hans, eat so fast ah? "
HAHAHAHA.
But some time last year or so it suddenly hit me that eating too fast is not really good for my digestive system, and I may get indigestion. So I started chewing my food for a longer period of time to let it be broken down into smaller pieces, and for my tongue to make more boluses.
I have a buddy whom I would normally eat lunch with with a few other people, and he's a fast eater. He would definitely finish his food before I do. He's in NPCC so he's used to eating fast especially during camps.
I didn't know how he managed to finish his food really fast every single time, I mean, he may seem to go at a normal eating pace, but within minutes he's off to return his tray already, or buy a drink.
So one time I asked him, " How do you eat so fast? "
And then he said, " Just stuff everything inside your mouth. "
It's funny how after changing myself, I managed to meet people who has my old habit.
