A letter to 10 year old me ( I'm currenly 15 )

Dear 10 year old me,

Please learn how to take punishments. If you have done something wrong and our parents give you punishments or scold you, do not rebel. You have to learn that there is a consequence to every action. Just take the punishment and even if you have not done anything wrong, explain to them calmly. Using aggression and anger is not going to solve anything.

Be open to listen to advices from our parents because you are not right about everything. Even if our parents are wrong, again, do not use aggression and anger to explain. It will not do anything good. Kicking and punching your pillow and bed will only anger our parents more.

Please consider the feelings of others before saying something. I know that you are blunt and honest by nature but as you grow up, you got to understand that some things you say or do will hurt others and you got to learn to be a bit more sensitive. You remember the biscuits that you threw away in front of your teacher in Primary 3? Well that was not very nice....

I know that you enjoy that Pet Society game on Facebook a lot. Playing with your pet, decorating his house, etc. Well, guess what? You are going to stop playing that game in 2-3 years time. Shocking truth? Yes.

I know that Mathematics seems difficult to you and sometimes you can hardly understand anything from that subject but I can tell you right now, Maths is not that difficult. Put in a bit more effort. Listen more attentively in class and not just cry like a bitch to our mum for her to explain the problem sums to you.

Find out studying methods from your teachers and friends because seriously, your studying method sucks.

Lastly, don't be in a hurry to grow up, growing up sucks.

 Cheers,

15 year old you.
