So I was thinking the other day, what are some of the advantages/perks of being single? I think I finally found the answers to this question.
Firstly, being single can help you save $$$money$$$.
Being single means that you don't have to spend a lot of money on the valentines day gifts, your anniversary gifts, your romantic outings with each other and probably a thousand other things.
Chances are, If you're a student and your allowance is not that much ( like me ), you may agree on this point.
Secondly, being single can save you from emotional heartbreaks.
I have lots of friends who are in relationships and probably 90% of them have gone through emotional heartbreaks. Be it whether the partner cheats on them, choose to go back to their ex, don't love them anymore, blah blah blah.....
Being single means that you won't have to go through all those pain. I have a friend who actually wanted to commit suicide and get depressed because of love in the past. Now that's a serious case. I'm not exaggerating.
Thirdly, being single means that you won't have to worry when socialising with members of the opposite sex.
Being single means that when I'm talking or hanging out with my female friends, I won't have to worry about a girl getting jealous and wanting to slice my throat the next time I see her.
I'm not saying that It's wrong to be jealous. It is okay to be jealous sometimes. It shows that you care for your significant other, but if the jealousy turn into clinginess, you may want to stop.
For me, clinginess is a major turn off. Seriously, If my partner don't trust my love for her? How am i suppose to trust her?
I need to socialise, be it with guys or girls and I need to constantly increase the amount of friends I have.
