The air in Singapore has been extremely hazy these few days due to the forest burning in Sumatra. The PSI's 290 now! That's insane!
I am not really panicking over the haze, just that I've been coughing and sneezing these few days and all the windows in my house have to be closed to prevent the haze from polluting my house and making my whole family sick. My classmates are complaining about the haze in the Whatsapp group now, hehe ^^
As I mentioned, i'm not really panicking and stuff, just that " What The F*** " kinda feeling when i see the air outside my balcony, but i am definitely worrying.
Firstly, I'm really worried about the health of the elderly citizens and those people with asthmatic illnesses ( Those people are screwed man... .) and i have a friend of mine with asthma, hope he's okay. For a teenager like me, I can take it, as long as i take the necessary measures to stay away from the haze.
Secondly, I'm really worried about the impact the haze have on the world! I'm talking about the world now, so shit's getting serious here.
The world's already facing the danger of global warming and the burning of the forest is definitely contributing a lot to this, yeah... Thanks bro -.-
So if you think that burning of forests and causing haze will not have any effect on the future's climate and survival of the human species, think again.
I know that some companies need to burn to forests either to make space for new plantations, or whatever reasons. But why not find more lands? I mean, Indonesia's really big, don't tell me you don't have lands... This requires more effort and time, but at least it won't cause the haze and massive air pollution, right?
I was actually not planning to write this but because the PSI has reached 290 now, I have to voice this out. Be positive guys, just remain indoors and if you need to go out to open space for long, be sure to wear a face mask kay? ^^ Hope the haze will go away soon...
