Y U NO WEAR MASKS?

So I was walking towards the shopping mall for my tuition classes this morning and the PSI  level was over 300 in the HAZARDOUS range, so of course, I was wearing my N95 mask, I wouldn't want to kill myself ^^ 

As I was walking, I went pass a construction site where they were building a new small shopping mall near my area and I saw a bunch of foreign workers working without wearing N95 masks. 

I was shocked and overwhelmed with disbelief at what I saw. The PSI level had reached the HAZARDOUS range, Y U NO WEAR MASKS? 

Moreover, these foreign workers work for long hours outdoors, they are the ones who are exposed to the haze the most, they SHOULD wear masks to prevent themselves from falling sick under that dangerous weather. They are not like you and me, who would probably be walking outdoors for a while before being indoors in an air-conditioned room again. 

Not to mention, they came to Singapore to work and earn higher incomes, to be able to give their families a better life back in their hometown, not to die or get ill because of the damn haze. 

I think that companies should issue them masks if they were to work for long hours outdoors, or at least remind them to buy the masks. I know that the queue is long everywhere, but would you queue up for long or die from the haze? 

Good news is, the PSI level has been in the moderate range since this afternoon :) Since yesterday, I knew the light would come soon.
